 Great Snowshoe Purchase
this Atlas Elektra 10 snowshoes review by Liz H.
I used these for the first time this weekend and could not be happier with the purchase. I am a recreational snowshoer and this is my first pair of Atlas Snowshoes. The bindings are great and I even used the hill climbing lift a few times too and that worked very well. I am 5'9", 145 lbs and purchased the 1027s. I spent a lot of time deciding which snowshoes to buy and in the end I am very happy with this purchase and most definitely with the price paid.
 Great Snowshoes - Very Comfortable
this Atlas 10 snowshoes review by Minnesota Hiker
I have 2 pairs of the mens Atlas 10 snow shoes and am very pleased with my purchase. The bindings were a little confusing at first but once you figure them out they are easy to use, comfortable and provide great support. I weigh 180 lbs and bought the 1025's. I've done some running with them and some deep snow hiking and they work well for both.
 Great Snowshoes for First-Timer
this Atlas Elektra 10 women snowshoes review by Lisa
I purchased the Atlas Elektra 1023 snowshoes after talking with a friend who bought these last year. I've never showshoed before, but have several friends who do so I wanted to try it. I've only used them once so far, but found them easy to use. I managed up and down hill on both packed and loose snow with no problem at all. My only issue was that I had to watch the video to understand how the bindings work. Once I understood the design I found them to be really easy to put on and take off. They felt very secure on my feet and the bindings did not slip off my heels (a complaint I've heard from users of other brands). I am 100% happy with this purchase and also with the helpfulness of the ORS Snowshoe Direct staff.
 Every Coyote Hunters Dream
this Atlas 10 snow shoes review by BJ
I purchased the Atlas series 10. In the (1035). This is my first set of snowshoes and I could not be happier. I am 6'3" and 275lbs., With all my gear on I am probably pushing 300+lbs. and I have had NO problems with the shoes. I have a size 15 boot and it fits into the bindings with very little problems.
 Great Snow Shoes
this Atlas 10 snowshoes review by Mike
I bought a pair of the Atlas 1035 size and just tried them out for the first time today and had a great time. They are a snap to get in to, even with big boots, and the wrap binding really holds your foot well. Where to tuck the cord after tightening can be a bit tricky. It is supposed to go on a little clip on the back/side of the binding, but if it is snowy that can be tough to do with gloves on. I am about 280lbs, so I went with the 35s, and they did well in the drifts. Also have great traction in icy areas. They can kick a little snow, so you may want to consider gaiters. Overall I am really pleased and looking forward to the next time I get out there. ORS shipped them out right away and the video reviews were really helpful in making my selection. I will definitely recommend ORS to friends.
Easiest walking first pair of snowshoes ever
this Atlas 10 snowshoes review by Sam P.
I used my Atlas snow shoes size 1035 for the first time and they were great. I have never worn snowshoes before. I viewed the video put out by ORS on these Atlas snowshoes, great job with video. I walked about a mile in snow that was about 18" to 20" deep no problem at all. I am 280 lbs, snow shoes were easy to put on an off for a big man.
 Elektra 10 Met Every Expectation
this Atlas Elektra 10 snowshoes review by David Jennings
Purchased the Atlas Elektra 10 snow shoes for my wife, after much research of various brands. We use several times a week, they meet all expectations. We trek on Mt.Rose (above Reno,NV) at 8500-9000 ft, with varied terrain and varied snow conditions and the Elektras have handled everything with security and comfort.
 Excellent Intermediate Snow Shoes
this Atlas Elektra 10 snowshoe review by jam3777
Purchased these for my wife for Christmas and she loves them. They are light, easy to adjust, and fun to use. Only slight negative is they tend to kick up snow a little more than other models. When wife and I run side by side in same snow, her back is covered, and mine only has a little on it. Highly recommend them.
 Very Pleased with this Purchase
this Atlas 10 review by BigSky5
I just started snowshoeing, but whenever I undertake a new activity that requires gear, I like to make an investment and get something good. After considering my options, I chose the Atlas 1030s. Based on my weight, 187 lbs, I could have chosen either the 25” or the 30”, but I chose the 30” so that I would have better floatation. I’m just over six feet tall, and I’ve no problem walking in the larger size. If I were to stay on primarily packed snow, I may have chosen the 25”. I’ve used them a lot, nearly every day to some extent, and they have help up very well. I was a bit skeptical how well they would hold up considering that the decking material is softer than other brands, but I was assured that the material is highly durable and that has turned out to be quite true. The traction is exceptional and the binding is as well. They are very comfortable and do not put pressure in any specific area, rather the pressure is evenly spread out. And they don’t budge. I’ve been out for hours at a time and they have stayed perfectly tight. I am very pleased with this purchase.
 These are Remarkable Snowshoes
this Atlas Elektra 10 review by Cindy Hall
I bought a pair of Atlas Elekra 1023 snowshoes and I am very happy with their performance. I use them to walk in the woods behind my house but have also taken them on hikes and they have excellent grip. I love the bindings especially. They are so comfortable! The straps that tighten them down can be perfectly adjusted around the foot to ensure that you have a secure connection without being uncomfortably tight. These are remarkable snowshoes.
 Very Highly Recommended
this Atlas 10 review by B.W.
I bought a pair of the Atlas 1025 snowshoes and I love them. The bindings are not at all difficult to use and are very comfortable and secure. They have plenty of traction, even on the steepest slopes. The spring loaded binding system makes for a perfectly natural step each time. I can’t find a single thing wrong with them. Very highly recommended. |
