 Excellent Binding, Comfortable snowshoe

Love this snowshoe. Had to return my Tubbs Xplore because the binding never held and I got tired of putting the snowshoe back on. With these, they never came off until I was ready to quit for the day, even after deep snow, unmarked trails, woods, and hours of being out. Extremely easy to put on and take off and the binding really holds. It took me a bit to get used to the longer length but then I never noticed the difference. Only down side is I dislike the color, but oh well, the performance is what really counts. Highly recommend getting these.

My husband and I began snow shoeing about two years ago. When we decided we liked the sport we originally purchased an inexpensive set of snow shoes - We decided to purchase nicer ones this year and begin to excel at the sport, so we bought the Atlas Snowshoes 9 series for him and her - we tried them out today and what a difference! As a woman, the old unisex snowshoes we owned hurt my hips, legs, and back. After doing a 2 mile snowshoe hike with the Atlas Elektra 9 I felt great. Thank you ORS for the best snowshoes ever. Across the country (we are in Washington State) your videos assisted us and we love the new snow shoes.

First, I was so impressed with how fast my order shipped by ORS. I'm in my 40's and this is my first attempt at winter sports. The snowshoes are very light and sturdy and it's extremely quick and easy to gear up. Yes, if you can walk you can snowshoe! The storage bag is great quality and makes storing and traveling with the gear a breeze. There are even velcro straps on the outside of the bag for storing the poles so it's a one bag sport. A superior investment. My husband and I have even gone evening snowshoeing after work a few times already because it's THAT quick and easy to do. Thanks!

First, I was impressed by ORS Snowshoes Direct's immediate shipping of order - receiving in 4 days - from Vermont to Wisconsin. Next, by technology of Wrapp Flexible Bindings. Photo and description didn't prepare me for the Real Deal, which was the ease of sliding in foot and having it enveloped securely by a pull of a loop. My old Tubbs snowshoe straps offered no support and were a constant pain to adjust to my small foot. They failed to remain tight and stabilize causing my foot to slide about and me to stumble on rough terrain. By contrast, the Atlas Electra 9 were a snap to step in and tighten, allowing me quick departure in 4 below 0 temps! I headed immediately out to test their performance on my country hilly fields and woods, blazing a new path through drifts and ice. WOW! I was so enthralled by the spring-suspension and easy of movement that I continued through hill and dale for over an hour. Remarkable performance for first time use! This product has opened up a new comfort level and enjoyment for the sport of snowshoeing for this 51 year old woman. Thank you ORS Snowshoes Direct and Atlas!!! I can face Wisconsin's endless wintertime now!!!

Very easy to use, just pop your foot in and pull to adjust straps on the binddings. The cover / storage bag makes the snowshoes easy to transport. The snowshoe poles are great in helping with stability when walking.
Great Float & Easy to Walk In

I am just getting into snowshoeing and I’ve been using the Elektra 927. I stick pretty close to home because I have lots of surrounding land that is great for snowshoeing. These snow shoes do the trick every time I use them. They have great floatation and are so easy to walk in, its almost like they aren’t even on. For boots I wear a pair of waterproof hiking boots and the bindings wrap around them perfectly. I would suggest using poles. Not only do they help with balance, especially when stepping over fallen trees or creek beds, they also get your arms moving which results in more calories being burned. I recommend snowshoeing and I definitely recommend the Atlas Elektra 9 as an excellent beginner snowshoe.

For my needs I didn’t think I had to spend more money on better snowshoes and I was right. For the terrain that I use them on, mostly flat, with a few hills, they work perfectly. Definitely a happy customer.
