This model is designed and biomechanically engineered specifically for the natural stride of women via the Atlas Elektra frame which has a more narrow and tapered geometry, ideally facilitating a woman's stride.
The all-new 2012 Atlas Elektra 11 women's snowshoes are an all-terrain/go-anywhere snowshoe that offers top-end performance at a great value. It has all the features found on the Atlas Elektra 10 Series models, but with the additional benefit of a heel lift climbing bar that directs more pressure to the crampons for deeper penetration with each step while reducing strain on the calf muscles. Security and grip are also upgraded from the Elektra 10 Series with Advanced AFT Traction, which features sharp ice tips on the heel cleat and four angled, ridged side rails. The secure and comfortable Wrapp Plus bindings are easy to adjust and are designed to support the arches and cradle the inside of your feet, and thanks to the SureClick Buckles, they won’t loosen during use. Add it all up and you’ve got a snowshoe that will give you the confidence to head just about anywhere your feet want to take you.

Heel Lift Bar - When engaged, the bar greatly relieves calf muscle fatigue while ascending steep slopes. Heel Lift Bar stores flat and out of the way when not needed.
