OMG Why Haven't I Tried These Until Now!
this Atlas Run snowshoes review by MarthaTri
Ok people as a Triathlete living in Iowa, my coach wanted us to stop running loops around our gym and get out and try some thing new. So I started looking into snowshoeing. Not only did I learn that it's a great replacement for a run workout but it is so much fun I can't believe I have not tried it until now. If you’re thinking about it, don’t think any more. If your at all fit and use this as a cross training tool, get the ATLAS RUN SNOWSHOE. You can still hike with friends but when you have to get your workout in it's a synch. I LOVE IT! I bought the Atlas Lock Jaw 2-Piece Snowshoe Poles Women and they are great with it too. For a complete package try the Atlas Deluxe Snowshoe Tote Bag to keep all you things together. If you’re looking for shoes, just make sure they are water proof and super flexible if will be using them to run. I bought the Saucony Progrid Razor Trail Running Shoe - Women. Not the cutest but do a great job on temps down to 5 degrees. Good luck and have fun.
Do Not Want the Snow to Melt
this Atlas Run review by Nicole
This is my first pair of snowshoes, and I am having so much fun in them. I am a runner, biker, and swimmer and now a snowshoer. My coach recommended I get a pair to add on to my training. I live in Madison WI, so I have had plenty of opportunites to use them. I live in the country, so I run through the fields and on the snowmobile trails.
 REALLY NICE ALL AROUND
this Atlas Run review by Run4Fun
I had an older pair of snowshoes for 10 years. I liked them and when the bindings finally broke (at -17 F one morning), I was afraid I would not find another pair I liked as much. I was wrong! The Atlas Run model is really great. I run year-round and XC ski some also. I have used these snowshoes on VERY rough terrian with no issues: great grip and stability. I love the real easy step-in bindings with only 1 strap to pull tight. I was unaware this model was designed for mostly packed surfaces. I have run with them in deep snow, through a crust and on ice too :-) They are lightweight, yet strong. I wanna buy another pair soon to keep for the next 10 years :-)
 Now There's No Excuse!
this Atlas Run review by MM
I run year-round, and after a huge snowfall, decided to try these. They're just absolutely great -- snowshoe-running is delightful -- and a hard workout -- and these snowshoes perform exactly as I'd hoped. They're extremely light and the bindings are so secure. I also received them a mere 36 hours after placing the order!
Perform Exactly as I Hoped They Would
this Atlas Run review by run-jess-run
These running snowshoes performed exactly as I had hoped. The bindings are minimal yet hold your foot securely, even when running. The design of the frame allows you to run naturally without the shoes banging together. The crampons provide great grip, but are best on packed or semi packed trails. They are great for runners who want an alternative to the roads in the winter and they are reasonably priced.
 Makes Running in Winter Fun!
this Atlas Run review by B. Dugan
I am a runner and I wanted to try snowshoe running, so I started looking at the options. Not sure if I was going to fall in love with the activity, I decided to go for the least expensive shoes that Atlas carried. I have pair of Atlas Elektra 1027s which I love, but they are too big for running. So I bought the Atlas Run and I’ve discovered that running in winter is fun! Seriously, all you runners out there who haven’t tried this yet, do so! You can run on snowmobile trails, park trails, or anywhere else where you’ll find packed snow. |
