Handcrafted in Vermont USA, the Dion Snowshoes are a smart and innovative custom alternative to similarly priced, non-interchangeable production models. Separately select the ideal snowshoe frame, bindings and cleats for superior, custom performance snowhoes to meet your specific needs.
The largest frame available in the Dion Snowshoes line, the Dion 220 Frame features an ultra-long 32" design for optimum flotation and traction in the deepest powder conditions. Ideal for snowshoers encountering very deep snow and using packed trails minimally. The Dion model 220 is also the perfect choice for snowshoers with a total weight exceeding 250 lbs (includes weight of all clothing worn and any gear carried in a backpack etc.) Incorporating Dion Snowshoes unique modular design, you can select the appropriate bindings and cleats to perfectly suit your needs. In just a matter of seconds the components can be interchanged with a few quick turns of a screwdriver. Once assembled, you’ll be heading out with a truly custom pair of snowshoes optimized for the snow conditions and terrain type of the day’s excursion. The large surface area provided by the Dion 220 frame will give you the most flotation possible in very deep snow, even if you are carrying a heavy pack. Ultra-durable and rugged frame & decking construction to withstand any abuse from downed trees, rocks, and other obstacles encountered.
The Dion Model 220 Frame features a powdercoat finish and is hand crafted with lightweight and extremely durable, aircraft grade aluminum. Also includes two integrated heel cleats for maximum traction on the uphills and downhills. Both the frame and heel cleat are Teflon coated to resist snow and ice buildup which can weigh snowshoes down and decrease traction. Tough abrasion resistant decking that is also soft and flexible for quiet steps. When you’re deep in the backcountry, you need maximum flotation, grip, and durability, and the Dion 220 Frame delivers.
