Tried and True
this MSR Denali Classic snowshoes review by Happy Camper
Time and again MSR snowshoes have proven to me to be just tried and true snowshoes. I purchased many pairs for the camp where I work for retreat groups & they are simple enough for non-snowshoers to adjust and take them on and off easily. Most importantly, their wear and tear is quite minimal and they are good for hiking in anything from flat wet snow to dry Colorado Rockies snow.
Easy to put on & take off. Very stable in deep snow.

Great snow shoes & the ski poles are really nice. I like the three piece poles, easy to store. I like the option of extending the snow shoes with the add on float tails I also purchased. ORS Snowshoes Direct service was great & quick too.
It's Like Walking On Cloud Nine
this MSR Denali Classic review by fly04002
These snowshoes grant the beginner, the intermediate, and the pro the necessary equipment to walk on Cloud Nine. To stay high and dry, just add the flotation tails! These are my first pair of snowshoes, and I'm truly in love. Great for any kind of snow, and pretty tough terrain. You will be able to climb basically any mountain... except maybe K2, Mt. Everest, or Kilamanjaro. So make the right choice and join the MSR Junkies! The MSR Denali Classic Snowshoes are the best (and still economical) choice out there!
Awesome Shoes, Use the Tails Though
this MSR Denali Classic review by R. Mason
I use the Denali Classics extensively, and have had no problems whatsoever. The bindings are awesome and easy to use. Plus the traction is amazing. I didn't originally get the snowshoe extension tails but found that these snow shoes will sink down in super deep snow. I ended up getting both the 4" and 8" tails, and its pretty cool how you can decide which length to use depending on the conditions. They do a fantastic job of keeping the shoes from sinking in. If I'm going off trail I start out with one pair of the extension tails attached to the shoes and bring the other pair of tails along in a backpack in case I want to modify the shoes when I see what the actual conditions are like. I definitely recommend the MSR Denali Classic snow shoes. |
