 Fine for Small Woman

Light Weight & Ease of Mneuverability

I am a small woman, 4'10", 100 lbs. The adult size snowshoes have made snowshoeing difficult. I ordered the MSR Shift for Older Children Snowshoes and they are excellent. I have bushwacked in the forest over logs and thru deep snow and I am very pleased with them. Being light weight snowshoes I can still use my heavy duty snow boots with no problem.

Tried entry level snowshoes for my children - those costing 30 dollars or less. Were a total waste of money. The cheaper models provide no traction and very poor flotation. Purchased both the MSR Shift and Denali for my children and what a world of difference - easy on, easy off. The children could actually keep up and were not falling all over. MSR shoes are constructed well, even in the youth models. |
