While most other leading snowshoe companies now manufacture overseas, TSL Snowshoes are made right here in Vermont, USA. A fact we are very excited about because it brings great new jobs & opportunities to Vermont -- the beautiful Green Mountain State.
The TSL Take the High Road combines both the ultimate in technology and comfort to deliver the ideal exercise walking snowshoe for outdoor activity during winter. A high-end recreational snowshoe with excellent buoyancy / flotation in deep powder and biting grip on hardpack & ice. The TSL Take the High Road efficiently and effectively maneuvers with ease in all types of snow conditions like heavy, wet snow, hardpack, deep powder and untracked snow. Great stability and control when snowshoeing up and down hills or traversing sidehills. PLEASE NOTE: This model does not include the TSL Heel Lift (found on the TSL Over the Top snowshoes series). If you do not anticipate encountering long /extended steep inclines during your snowshoe outings we recommend the TSL Take the High Road snow shoe series. If tackling long and steep vertical we recommend choosing the TSL Over the Top snowshoes for reducing calf muscle fatigue. Includes a TSL Snowshoes storage bag.
TSL Take the High Road Snowshoes Features & Benefits: - Heel Wrap Binding System - The Heel Wrap System features four adjustment points for maximum comfort, excellent precision and heel support on steep slopes. Toe Box easily tightens with just one hand and is mitten friendly. Tightens at the ankle easy ratchet system, comfort pad centers right on the top of the boot/shoe. Pre-adjustable heel strap, set it once and no need to readjust during current excursion or future outings. Ratcheting telescopic heel piece for optimum shoe size fit.
- Anti Shin Bang Articulation - Anti Shin bang Articulation (ASA) blocks the foot rotation through the snowshoe deck at 90degrees to prevent snowshoes from banging into the shins. ASA also allows the snow to slide off the back of the snow shoes for easy and efficient movement. ASA also engages on traverses, ensuring the foot remains in a horizontal position to make walking more comfortable.
- SnowGrab Crampon System - The best grip on the mountain! For maximum climbing and side-hill traction and improved downhill control at all times, whatever the incline. Front crampons region has 2 teeth on the side for extra grip on traverses, 3 teeth at the rear for braking downhill, 2 at the front at an angle of 120degrees for optimal traction. Rear crampons region has 8 teeth for improved braking when going downhill and optimum performance on side-hill traverses.
- Premium Snowshoe Decking - TSL Snowshoes combines 2 high-tech, ultra-resistant patented materials: T-BAX for rigidity and is resistant to abrasion and cold. Nexflon for softening to maximize flotation/buoyancy and comfort when walking in all winter temperatures. Shock tested to -40degrees F.
- TSL Traction Pads - Traction Pads serve 3 purposes; to protect the snowshoe deck surrounding the rivets for excellent durability, to improve performance and traction, to diffuse lateral bumping (snowshoe against snowshoe).
