Great Comfortable Snowshoe

My wife and I are fairly new to snowshoeing and we got tired of renting - I wished we had bought these shoes earlier, they are great. Once the bindings are set up (very easy to do), the shoes are easy to get on and off. There are no pressure points with the bindings which is nice. The only reason I didn't give the shoes an "5-Star Excellent" rating is because they don't have that incline bar for your heel but you can't have everything and I don't know if I would ever use it.

I took two steps in them and never looked back. After about 10 minutes I broke into a jog and that went well too. No issues to date, been in them 4x so far. Very quick and easy to get in and out of... which makes them hassle free.

We purchased these recently and have been very pleased with them. We especially like the bindings which we find to be much easier to use than some of the lower priced models, especially the heel section.
No Float

NRG snowshoes sink like a rock in deep snow with you attached. The instep pivots to a vertical position. It is near impossible to raise your leg and step your way out. They need a warning label, HARD PACK ONLY! Too much flex, as well. I weigh 100lbs.
Makes winter hiking in the woods as easy as walking down the road.

Easy on and off, lightweight, almost like having just tennis shoes on and hiking in the summer. No more worrying about slipping when climbing up and down hills, even in icy conditions. I love them. ORS had great pricing and delivered as promised.

Purchased as a gift for my wife and she loved them. Had great snowshoeing conditions over the holidays in Vermont and she used them four times. Very easy to attach over boots, and detach when done. ALso got adjustable snowshoe poles, which are also excellent. I had purchased Tubbs earlier version for my daughter, and the Flex NRG's are definitely lighter and easier to hike in.
User Friendly, Compact

I'm 5'10'', 175 lbs. So far, I've used these snowshoes on packed trails and off-trail on crusty snow. They are very easy to take on and off. On trails, I can barely tell I'm snowshoeing--it's just like a walk in the park. Off trail, I did break through the crusty snow occasionally, but only sank a couple inches. Compact size makes them very manageable. Would highly recommend this product.

Great product and value from ORS Snowshoes Direct. The Tubbs Flex NRG is light weight and the binding system is solid and simple. My wife struggled with hers, but she didnt have it tight enough. Highly recommended, all my snowshoeing friends oooh and aaah at the Flex NRG.

I used the snow shoes several times (until we had a heat wave and our 18" of snow disappeared!) The snow shoes were great - no problems, made very well. I think they will last a very long time and give me years of enjoyment if I get more snow! They are very easy to put on and take off. I also like that no snow is thrown up on my back. They have excellent gripping and are very stable and lightweight. For me these are an excellent snowshoe and the price is great. Thanks ORS and Tubbs. |
