Stayed up around the calves, the lace hook kept them in place on the foot. Flexible material and velcro front makes them easy on and off.

These work great, easy to put on and they stay tight around my ankles and calves to keep my pants snowfree while snowshoeing; good prices; might be small for those with large calves.
