SUPERB QUALITY and DESIGN

I am so thrilled with my recent purchase of the 25" women's Wilderness snowshoes, storage backpack and poles! With the weather being so warm I probably won't get a chance to use them until next winter and it will be hard to wait that long. Let me tell you though that these items are top quality and are exactly as described, all for such a low price compared to other snowshoe websites that carry the same products. Shipping was fast and packaging was excellent. Besides the products, this company gets a 5-star rating too! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I've been trying to find the perfect pair of snowshoes for the past two years and this year I found them! The women's Tubbs Wilderness sowshoes are the best I've tried for various snow conditions and overall comfort. I was so excited about my new snowshoes and how they worked, I brought them to work and showed 3 friends who took my advice and bought their own Tubbs Wilderness Snowshoes. (I think I should get a commission for all the new sales!!!!) I am very satisfied with these snowshoes and have recommended them.

Deep Snow Improvement

I've owned a pair of Tubbs NRG snow shoes for a couple of years and in most snow conditions in Michigan they were great. However having moved "Up" North we have gotten more powdery stuff. So I took advantage of the End-of-Season sale and got the Wilderness. They arrived the morning of our heaviest snow of the season - 14". And this was on top of 2 feet of packed stuff. After the Big Snow stopped I went out and tried both pair - to compare. The new ones were about 4-5 inches less sinking. A Big Difference! Good buy and really great customer service. The Wilderness shoes were "shipped" about 2 hours after I ordered them over the web! That's Fast.

The Strap System Makes it FUN!

Great Snowshoe!! Love the strap system. While others are fighting to take their snowshoes on and off, I am already done. Push the tab in and 3 clicks on, 3 clicks off -AWESOME! The shoe floats nice and the crampons are perfect for hard inclined slopes. I have already put on a lot of miles and not one complaint. I would recommend these to anyone...I already have in fact!! ENJOY!

I was worried about the effect on my messed up knees from 50 years of skiing, National Ski Patrol, X-country,etc but they performed fabulously in fairly deep snow in rolling terrain. Everything worked as stated. I never was hauling accumulated snow on the surfaces and the ability to keep a level foot was a god-send on my knees. Totally easy and fun.

Recently we purchased two womens Tubbs Wilderness 25 snowshoes. My daughter and I really like the easy binding. It makes getting in and out a breeze as well as snug to our snow boots. The Tubbs snowshoes are easy to get around in and we have really enjoyed them. My husband purchased the snow shoes as a set of 4 and ORS Snowshoes Direct treated us right and provided excellent support, advice and delivery was right on time when they said it would be. Overall, we are THRILLED and would recommend both Tubbs and ORS Snowshoes Direct.

Great Snowshoe for a Great Winter Hobby

I decided that it was time to find a good winter hobby as a way to get out of the house and exercise. I decided to give snowshoeing a try, and absolutely love it! I purchased the Wilderness series snowshoe from Tubbs, and these are definitely a versatile go anywhere kind of snowshoe. They are very easy to put on and take off with the step in binding system, and the swiveling binding is great a very natural feeling walking form. These snow shoes work well on any terrain, from packed trails, to deep powder, and even on steep terrain. I would highly recommend these snow shoes for anyone looking for good quality, and effective functionality.

My wife and I now each have Tubbs Wilderness snowshoes (in addition to several other older brands we have had for many years). We are retired, in our 60's, and get out every day for a 3 to 7 mile trek through the wildlife management area next to our home. The Wilderness model is noticeably easier to put on and more comfortable to use than any other snowshoes we have used. With these, we have already experienced all types of snow conditions, moderate to steep terrain, through dense woods on unbroken trails and in changeable temps from -10 to 40 degrees. We have been pleased with the grip of the crampons on our steepest ascents and don't think we want more aggressive crampons that might catch on branches and logs underfoot. The bindings are great as they are supportive and very easy to put on and take off, even to go the few steps from house to the birdfeeders! The only reservation we have is whether or not the bindings will last over time. The problem might be the binding straps, which are riveted on and not threaded, so there will be no easy way to readjust or replace the straps if they get worn. We are really enjoying our snowshoes for now and will rely on the Tubbs warranty, if needed. We are thinking of getting one more pair of 36" for me to break new trails after those really deep soft powder snows.

I am a woman, 5'6" and 170 lbs with winter gear. Glad I bought these 30" snowshoes for my husband. (I have already appropriated them from him.) My husband and I have snowshoed for over 10 years in northern Vermont. Have only had these Tubbs Wilderness for one week, but I am very satisfied. I used these on four different days on 3 to 8 mile hikes through dense woods on unbroken trails, over stumps, logs, etc. in extreme cold and warming temps in all snow conditions. These snowshoes are great in unbroken deep (16") powder and packed powder. Apt to "catch" in front for me (under crusted snow only), but does not seem to be a problem for my husband's larger foot. Great bindings that fit my own smaller size 8 and my husband's size 13 snow boots, with solid feel underfoot, less effort to use than my MSR Classic Denalis, and better grip than my older Sherpas. We are so satisfied we are getting another pair for my husband!

These snowshoes are a dream. They are so easy to walk in, you would think you are just walking in your boots alone. Easy initial adjustment and then just one release to get them off and you don't have to adjust anything again, you just attach the one release tab back into place. Your stride is very relaxed, smooth and effortless. The toe crampon and heel crampons are deep and jagged and have super traction and the new carbon steel make them very strong. Thank you so much for such a well built snowshoe. My studying of snowshoes paid off.

My wife an I both purchased a pair of Wilderness snowshoes. We both like them. The bindings are very easy to use. We've used them in all conditions and they work well. Steep hills, rolling hills, packed trails, even through a frozen swamp. The crampons work well on ice. I would recommend these snowshoes to anyone that wants to go anywhere and be assured the snowshoes can handle it. I do wish they had the heel lift. Many times we've been a very steep hills. The crampons handle the incline but the heel lifts would be nice. If I were to purchase again, I'd get the models that have the heel lift.

I'm 6'3" and 270#'s plus with gear. A great snowshoe, go anywhere. I've been locally in Maine and on trails on the Kancamangus Highway in NH. Great stability, traction, and support. We've been in icy conditions, well packed trails, and breaking trail. I felt stable and secure all the time.

I'm no expert snowshoer, and I haven’t field tested all the models that are out there, but I can say that these shoes have made me want to go snowshoeing . The binding system is simple but impressively effective. I have the 30 inch Wildernesses, and on packed snow and powder they work great. I weigh over 200 lbs with all my gear and flotation was excellent and the maneuverability of the shoes was very good. On steep pitches they perform very well. They are great all arounders and I’m sure you'd be very content with the purchase of these snowshoes.

These grip well, they keep you up in the snow, but most of all, I like how simple they are to get into and out of. I don’t think there could be an easier binding. One buckle to engage. That’s it. And they feel great on my feet and are easy to move around in. I also like how the binding rotates and sheds snow off the tail. If you’ve ever used shoes that flip snow on your back you know what I mean. These are very good snowshoes, no complaints.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with my Tubbs Wilderness snowshoes. I am a smaller woman, and I have the 21” and they are so easy to walk in, yet I don’t sink in as I had expected when I first saw how small they were. I also have small feet, and I’ve never found a binding that would tighten enough around my boots until now. I take them out on my loops though the woods behing my house and they have been perfect.

I am a Tubbs snowshoe fan, and the Wilderness pair I just bought are the fourth pair I’ve owned. I can’t believe how far snowshoe technology had gone. These days they are so easy to use and are so light. The best thing about them is the binding system. They are a delight to use, unlike the older bindings which were difficult to adjust and wouldn’t even stay tight. The tapered tails make walking a lot easier too.
