CONTROL ActiveFit+ Binding System / ActiveLift Heel Lift - "3D Fit" combination of control, support and ease of use to custom fit any men's hiking or technical climbing boot. Stable base, with patented Control Wing design, centers the heel while dual pivot points at the toe deliver personalized fit. Asymmetric left foot / right foot bindings for secure, fully integrated fit with Cinch Pull for effortless entry/exit. Set and forget heel strap, no more having to readjust binding straps along the way. New ActiveLift heel lift reduces calf fatigue and makes extended climbs easier and more efficient.
TRACTION Viper/Python CrampOn System - Stainless carbon steel ultra long teeth under the ball of the foot provide maximum traction on ascent and descent. Razor-sharp climbing, traversing and braking teeth ensure stability on ice or hardpack. New Python heel crampon delivers 'weighted' traction.
ARTICULATION RII Revolution Response - Energy efficient and effective, RII delivers shock absorbing lateral flex and side slope traversing responsiveness for a natural foot position in all conditions. Full step rotation allows the tail of the snowshoe to drop and the toe crampon to bite deeply. RII limits over rotation in steep pitches yet sheds snow off the tail to reduce discomfort and fatigue.
FLOTATION Momentum SuperLite 7000 Series Aluminum Frame/ArcTec Plus Decking - Sleek 7000 Series frame is 57% stronger and 20% lighter with 'flat' nose rise to maximize flotation per sq. in. and maneuverability. Ergonomically tapered tail for optimal medial clearance and stability in steep pitches, powder and wind-packed terrain. ArcTec Plus, Tubbs Snowshoes' proprietary decking material, is 30% more abrasion and puncture resistant than industry leading ArcTec, with proven durability to -40°F. Advanced sublimated and screen printing processes resulting in crisp high quality graphics.
The Tubbs Mountaineer Series Snowshoe comes in three sizes - 25, 30
and 36. Using the sizing chart below, find your size based on your fully loaded
weight - meaning your fully clothed body weight plus the gear weight of typical
